Community Action for Resilient Baylands
The Hamilton/Bel Marin Keys Wetland Restoration Project is significant ecologically and regionally, but did you know about the folks who work through mud and heat to restore the land? Join Christina McWhorter, Site Manager, in exploring the heart and soul of the Novato Baylands Stewards who have been sustainably restoring the wetlands as a community for over 8 years. From community-based science to rescuing bat rays, there is a lot to learn!

With a life-long interest in plants, Christina loves working with volunteers to restore vital wetland habitats in the Bay Area. After earning a B.S. in Plant Biology at UC Davis and a Masters in Horticulture from the University of Western Sydney, Christina has enjoyed working at the many intersections between plants and people in botanical gardens, restoration sites, and environmental education organizations.
