Rotary Receives Praise on Dictionary Program From Marin Schools Chief

This is a note District Governor Brian McLeran recently received from Mary Jane Burke, The Superintendent of Schools for Marin:

Brian,

I read with great interest and appreciation about the distribution of dictionaries by Bay Area Rotary Clubs.  Just think, thousands of children are now able to go to their very own beautiful dictionaries to learn new words and to assist them with their school work.  You and your colleagues are providing an incredible service.  You are certainly giving the "Gift of Words", but you are also giving another important gift to the students: the knowledge that there are people in our community, people that they may not even know, who care about them and their education.  Thanks for the wonderful work you are doing.
