World Environment Day is today, (see project@esrag.org for a Rotary "avoid plastic straws" project to be featured in Toronto's convention), and it is not a coincidence that Speaker Chair Steve Villa scheduled the foremost Marin-based expert on environmental change, Andrew Gunther, (andrewgunther.com) who gave a well-researched, beautifully illustrated, and flawlessly presented description of the global warming effects upon the world.
Dr. Gunther showed the scientific research which predicts global warming, sea level rising, and loss of species and lives. He was a dynamic yet quiet speaker who scared this writer to death! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED as a SPEAKER to ROTARY!
