Walked into today's meeting. A packed room filled with not only the usual club members but numerous district officers, current and past presidents and more. They had come to present a member with the Citation for Meritorious Service. An award that recognizes individual Rotarians who have demonstrated outstanding hands on service to The Rotary Foundation. We all knew the award was for Hugh Murphy before they said it. Hugh has dedicated a great deal of time and energy to support the Polio+ foundation, Rotary's drive to aid in ending polio around the world. He is known throughout the district for his commitment to this passion. Well deserved and congratulations Hugh! We are lucky to share the room with you on Tuesday mornings!
