Interact is Alive!

It was a three year process begun by Past President Mark (2005-2006), but the San Rafael Harbor Rotary Club now has an Interact Club at San Rafael High School!
Club Day at San Rafael High was September 21st and Brigette, Greg and myself were there hoping we could sign up a few motivated students to get the club started.
Brigette and Greg had gotten 8 or 9 of the "movers and shakers" to commit before this day, and obviously they networked with their friends. When the bell rang at 12:20 our table was overrun by kids. We brought 30 applications and were frantically running to the office to make more copies. When the dust settled, we had SIXTY SIX applications in hand! Needless to say, this is about three times what we had hoped for in our wildest dreams. Some kids will drop out after the first few meetings but this is a fantastic start to what will be a fantastic club. We have two awesome teachers on board and the club's first meeting will be on October 4th. We will keep you posted...
