Forgotten Railroads of Marin

Discover how early Marin County developed to accommodate the needs of the community and paved the way for the future. Amateur historian Richard Torney will share Marin County's deep railroad history in this visual presentation. 

Mr. Torney is a fourth generation born in San Francisco, and a life long resident of Marin County. He attended A. E. Kent School, Redwood High and COM and served in the U S Army in Vietnam. He is currently a semi-retired remodeling contractor. As an amateur local historian, he is actively involved with the Kentfield Greenbrae Historical Society, Moya Library-Ross Historical Society, North Western Pacific RR Historical Society. He is also a docent at the Gravity Car Barn on Mt. Tamalpais.
